Around the Ranch

Welcome To Colorado

And Our

 Walk On Horse Ranch

This is how Linda and I keep warm on a cool Colorado day.

Ranch life is not always as attractive as one might think.

We hope those of you who do not get to experience the beauty of a white winter will enjoy theses pictures.

Pepper loves the snow.

But, we aren't sure the mail lady does.

This red fox was last winter's special guest at our home.  He burrowed a bed in the snow on our patio and just hung out for a few days.

My old 1949 Ford 8N has been a good friend during the snow seasons.  It just keeps going.  This year we gave it a little rest by getting a snow blower.

Craig is giving his niece a lesson in 'golf cart snow sliding.'  Savannah's favorite game is 'golf cart polo.'

We haven't used the BBQ much lately.

We are ready now for a Costco steak run.

Our 'backyard' elk herd is getting smaller each year.

We miss our prong horned antelope and deer, but our elk are such beautiful creatures.

We thought we should share our sunrises and sunsets which are always beautiful, and always different.

Linda's favorites are the rainbows, especially the double rainbows.

Spring is here and with it comes more wildlife.  Our soaring hawks, screeching while looking for prey and an occasional American bald eagle.

Oh yes, there is always Caeser.  He is now 28 years old.

We get a few snakes, but usually 'good' snakes.  This rattler turned up by the mailboxes and I was elected to end its magnificent life.  So I skinned it and gave it a home in my garage.

Hot air balloons.  An almost everyday sighting off our patio.

Ah, here comes the green of Spring.

Steve decided to give his grandchildren driving lessons.

Looks like Nicolette and Jaden are doing just fine.

I did a little restoration work on the tractor this year.  It does a great job helping me get rid of those deposits the horses make around the barn.

One of our many Magpies just taking it all in.

This artist was commissioned to paint three of my horses, Danube Dandy, Chics Jet Deck and Chics Dandy Jet.

We still have the 1968 Dodge Charger and take it out for the occasional cruise and hamburger

This computer and web site stuff is hard work.
